MI/NASTRAN - ELEMENT LIBRARY

MI/NASTRAN uses finite elements to model structures and to represent physical properties such as stiffness, mass, and damping. These mathematical entities simulate frequently occurring structural components like beams, plates, shear panels, solids, etc. More complex structural components are modeled by sets of elementary elements such that sufficient detail is obtained to represent the desired physical properties and anticipated stress patterns.
