About Us MACRO
Industries, Inc., was formed in 1991.
Our goal is to develop and market robust, powerful, intuitive, and
cost-effective structural analysis tools for the personal computer market. |
|
Analysis Products - ( MI/NASTRAN ) Our
next release will include a fast sparse solver and lanczos eigenvalue
routines. |

Future Products Because MACRO's goal is to provide software tools beyond the core NASTRAN product, we are working on other projects to provide a complete suite of FEA tools. Among those products are: · MI/FLAGRO - This product is based on NASA's FLAGRO computer program and allows the user to perform fatigue, safe-life, and crack growth analyses. · MI/FEM - MACRO's own pre and post processor. With the enhancements planned for the NASTRAN product, we have decided we need our own pre/post package. Development is underway on what is sure to be an improvement over current tools. Initial release is still a year away, so be patient. · Meshing TemplatesTM - This product represents a completely different method for automeshing compared to the current paradigm and will be an integral part of our pre/post package. Rather than using brute force, mathematical methods for meshing a part, Meshing Templates carry the CAD concept of 'features' into the FE world. Known features will have known meshes attached to them. The meshing process will be instantaneous for recognized features. |

Envisioneering This is the term MACRO has coined to describe our goal in CAE tools. It represents MACRO's vision that successful designs can be obtained by following a 'recipe' for engineering problems. The goal is to have a system in which the user can specify a global outline of a project and then have the computer, utilizing AI, fill in the details, guide the analysis based on embedded human experience, and automatically perform design verification within the design process. |
